Mixed media canvas with chalk paint

Hello Crafty friends,

I am Shylaa here today to share an inspiration on mixed media canvas using Chalk paints

This month our challenge theme is to use Chalk paints in your projects.

Basic Process:

1. Coat a layer of gesso on the canvas and allow it to dry. 
2. Add textures with stencil. i have used sunflower stencil
3.Sponge IMMIX chalk paint over the stenciled area in a pattern to get flower.
4.Adhere the photograph and add IMMIX deco stones, glitters ball, micro beads etc
5. Sprinkle some drops of Sprinkle mist. 
6. Add our Chipboard embellishment
7. I used the sentiment from couples in love stampset.

Art Journal Using Expressions Craft Stencils

Hello Friends,

Priya here today with my inspiration post for our current challenge which you can find here

I made a Journal page using Expressions craft Stencils and Sprinkle mist.

These stencils are truly versatile and can be used with any colors, inks and pastes. 

My journal is of 330 gsm pages and are heavy enough for colors and textures. I used my stamps first and created some interest on the page and then sprayed some sprinkle mists to create a colored background. I fussy cut some elements from a magazine and pattern paper and adhered them on the page. Then I added some more stamping. Then I created some more texture using my Expressions craft stencil.

Interactive cards using Stencils

Hi dear crafty friends,

Hope u all are doing fine. 

Happy Wednesday to all. I am Sabiha khan here with few interactive cards using stencils from Expressions craft.
Guys, get inspired and take part in our ongoing challenge for July month "STENCIL IT" HERE

First have a look at all the three cards...

U can see the stencils by expressions craft give such good results with all different styles and mediums

Here I have used three different interactive techniques with three different stencils in my cards.

Lets begin with the first card "happy birthday" card.

I have used Checkers and Cubes stencil to make the background with three different distress inks.I would like to mention that I have used Expressions craft ink blending tool in all my cards. It is very good quality and easy to use with beautiful results too.
My card is a slider pop up card. The middle panel of the card slides up to show the message inside as u can see in the picture above.
The bear image and sentiment are from Happy bear stamp set from Expressions craft.

My second card is an Easel card "Just for you"

For this card, I have used Sunflower Stencil for the background.
First I applied texture white on a watercolour card stock with the help of stencil. before the texture dried sprinkled some blue fine shimmer on the texture.After it dried applied some distress oxides on the above corners and embellished my card with some hand made flowers(using expressions craft blue card stock)and die cut leaves.
Embellished the inner card with some stone lace and a sentiment from "Wild flower" stamp set.

My third card is a "Best wishes" shaker card

For this card I have used Vintage style stencil. I have created a rainbow background with distress oxide inks and ink blended them with Expressions craft ink blending tool.
In this card I have used Mini Art Stones from expressions craft too.
I coloured few stones using Burnt Orange Sprinkle mists. Used them with uncoloured stones after drying as my shaker material.
Don't u feel that these art stones are great for any shaker card. u an colour them with different colours too.

Beautiful moments with Sprinkle mist

Hello Crafty friends,

Shylaa here with you today and I’m going to share my inspiration with Teal & blue mixed media layout  using Sprinkle Mist from Expressions Craft

Basic Steps for Mixed media layout
1.Cover page with gesso ( oh god i missed this, but our Sprinkle mist gives rich colours without gesso too)
2.Add textures to your layout using Modeling paste through stencil and let dry
3.Spray the colours directly over the textured part and mist it with water to create some drips
4. Add chipboard embellishments to page

Steps i used to create this layout

This page was created using Teal and Royal Blue colours from Sprinkle mist! The Sunflower stencil well suited this page.

The Star hangings of Heart dream catcher was left with me. Added sprinkle mist directly with paint brush and adhered to the page.

The other chipboard embellishments are the Birds & branches and Bold sentiment

The next step was to create layers. I have used our Mandala decoupage paper and pearly laces to add layers. Adhered the photo to the diecut frame and added embellishments and handmade flowers.

The last step was to our our cute deco stones.
