Hello everyone!
First let me thank u all who took part in our last month challenge.
All the entries are just beautifully done and its time again for some new challenge and more inspirations for the month.
Here is the new challenge for the month of August.
You can create any paper craft and your project must have chalk paints in it
Follow the rules which is listed at the top
Lets have a look at my beautiful "Beach scene canvas" done with "Immix" Chalk Paints from Expressions craft.
Here I have used few other beautiful products from Expressions craft "IMMIX" range of products like Sprinkle mists, Deco Stones and Sentiment chipboard embellishments too.
Lets have a close look of the Canvas ...
Hope u all like my creation...
now lets see step by step how I made this....
* Took an A4 size canvas and gave it a coat of white gesso.
* As I wanted to give wave texture I applied a thick layer of gesso in few areas on canvas.
* Before the gesso dried made few wave pattern on the thick layer with a comb.
* Let the gesso dry, then applied a layer of "Immix" chalk paints.
I have used Linen and Maya Blue for the background.
* While the paint dried, took some dried sticks applied adhesive on the tip and dipped them in the mini deco stones to cover them and give the feel of weeds, let them dry properly.
* Took some air dry clay and made the star fish. Let it dry. coloured it with chalk paints and then sprinkled some "Chest nut" sprinkle mist to get the natural look. U can see, how natural it looks.
*After the paint dried took some tissue paper and adhered it using glue to make form texture on the border of the waves.
* Applied some texture white on the tissue paper and adhered Mini and Medium deco stones to form a foam layer on the waves.
* I have used some sea shells to give some realistic and natural touch to my canvas.
* I would like to specially mention that after adhering the shells and all the other embellishments I have sprinkled some "Chest Nut" sprinkle mist on the Champagne linen chalk paint with the help of a brush to give the feel of sand, and applied some "Royal Blue" Mist with dry brush on the texture of the waves. As u can see u get beautiful results with Sprinkle Mists over Chalk Paints.
* I have used some jute cloth and jute twine too for my project.
* Made some clouds with help of a stencil and some distress oxides.
* Handmade some seagulls from cardboard and painted them with Gray chalk paints and adhered them on the canvas.
* I have used some Forest green sprinkle mist too near the weeds and starfish to give some dimension and depth to my project.
* Lastly took "Happy Holiday" chipboard embellishment and adhered it on the canvas, which gives a perfect message.
* Always use Sprinkle mists with water to get this type of results for some natural look.
Have some close up looks of my project...
