Mixed Media Triangular Canvas

Hey guys, Welcome back, This is DT Archana here, and I am back with another super simple Mixed media triangular canvas using our newly launched ground texture paste, I also used crackle texture paste, so lets get started...

This is what I have created :

So lets get started, To start with I first glued down my focal point that is Buddha casting, for gluing all my embellishments I used Immix gel medium gloss, and to create texture (spread using palate knife) on the canvas I used Immix newly launched ground texture paste "Natural Desert", "Mud brown" I also arrange some seashells, soda bottle caps, deco stones too..

Next I covered entire canvas using Immix white gesso and also used crackle texture paste

To color the canvas I used another amazing product Immix chroma Burst, I choose 4 shades here, namely "Fresh Water", "Tea Cup Teal", "Woodland Bay", "Blue Lagoon".. I just sprinkle this shades on to the canvas and sprayed some water to get them activated, This way  I got nice blended look...

Once its dries completely I applied Immix white gesso using dry brush technique, This step will highlight the dimensional part or textural part of canvas.

Shabby Chic Altered Glass Jar

Hello beautiful crafters,

This is DT member Jaishree here with a picture tutorial for you all on how to alter a glass jar in a shabby chic style. this jar can be used as a flower vase, a brush holder, pen holder, possibilities are endless. 

Lets get started!

Step 1 - Cover the jar with heavy gesso white. 

Step 2 - Use apply chalk paints of your choice (I used 2 shades of pink, one dark one light) I went in for a dual tone effect. I also adhered my clay frames before painting. 

Step 3 - Since I wanted to give it an ombré effect, I applied IMMIX metallic paint in the color pinky toes in the centre to merge the shades going from dark to light upwards. 

Step 4 - I took some flowers from my stash and covered them with white gesso. 

Step 5 - Once dried, I arranged the flowers and adhered them on the jar on opposite sides. I also added a white lace on the rim of the jar. 

Step 6 - I used a couple of metal butterflies and covered them with white gesso first and then colored them using IMMIX metallic paint holiday gold. 

Step 7 - I dry brushed the IMMIX metallic paint holiday gold on the clay frames as well as on the visible areas of jar over the calk paints. 

Step 8 - I finally adhered the butterflies and added some deco stones around to fill in some empty spaces.

Canvas Mix Media - Home Sweet Home

Hello, Friends

Dheepika here. I'm back with a new mixed media project.

I have created the textures with the things in and around our house.

A step at a time:

• started with doing a tree with clay and once it is dried apply a coat of gesso.
• Then add the cardboard,stones and peanuts shells to create a texture and apply gesso on it.
• Use sprinkle mist on the texture and it really looks great.
• Add the chipboard to the canvas.
• Colored the leaves and chipboard with the chalk paint.
• Add flowers to the canvas.
• Now the canvas is ready.

Hello Crafty friends

I am shylaa here to share an inspiration on our current month challenge on textures.

Hope you have seen my video on how to create textures with IMMIX Art essentials.  Here I have taken the textured Canvas and  decorated with Sprinkle mist, deco stones and with our handmade flower range.

I have used the vellum paper flowers and small roses from valentine medley collection. These flowers are awesome and adds beauty to our projects.

I have just adhered all the elements over the textured Canvas
