Mixed media sketch book

Hello everyone,

This is Tatyana here , today am going to share tips and tricks for making this mixed media sketch book, you can also use this technique on any bases like canvas, mdf etc,,

I had an album in my hands. It has a lot of pages and it was difficult for me to remove the pages from the spring. I came up with a way to decorate such an album. I think you will like my idea!

I cut out two cardboard squares, decorated them and fixed them on the surface of the album.

To create a textured background, I applied craquelure paste. Then I used a stencil and a background chipboard with the same pattern. I applied a texture paste with glass balls. This material gives a lot of volume and texture.

The staining was complex and layered. The first coat is a chalk paints. These paints became the basis for further curing. The making layer is Chroma Burst. They added brilliance and smooth transitions between shades. I used metal paints for accenton. I first used Iridescent Paint. This is a very interesting effect when the paint looks beige on the light parts of the work, and blue on the dark parts.

I used new, cool chipboards: shakers, twigs, gears. You will see all this in the video.
