Mixed Media Reverse Canvas

 Hello everyone,

Fairuz Fabiha here and welcome to the EC blog. Today I’ll be showing you how to use EC products to create a beautiful monochromatic project.

Today’s project is inspired by ‘Monochrome  theme’ that mainly came from the expressions craft September challenge mood board. 

For today I wanted to create a contrast of light and bright by using different shades of the same color. I chose the color green as it represents life. Green is a color associated with nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony and freshness.

So for the base, I’ve used a reverse canvas. The composition is done using expressions craft chipboards, flowers and used an image for the focal point.

At first I have used EC heavy white gesso to prime the base. Then for the textures I’ve used white sand paste. And for coloring I’ve used pine forest chroma burst. For highlighting the elements, I’ve used hunter green, olive green and bright foliage metallic paint.

Little Sunshine- Mixed Media Panel

Hello everyone,

Today’s project is inspired by ‘Monochrome  theme’ that mainly came from the expressions craft September challenge mood board. 

For today I wanted to create a contrast of light and bright by using different shades of the same color. I chose the color yellow as it’s such a happy color. Yellow is a color associated with sun. It symbolizes optimism, energy, joy, happiness and friendship.

So for the base, I’ve used a plastic wood panel. The composition is done using expressions craft chipboards, flowers and used an image for the focal point.

At first I have used EC heavy white gesso to prime the base. Then for the textures I’ve used sunny yellow embossing powder and micro deco stones. And for coloring I’ve only used Amber gold chroma burst. For highlighting the elements, I’ve used soft glitter gold shimmer paint and gold metallic stencil paste.

 Hello Fam! This is Jinal Savla on the blog and brings you my first project this month... Queen in a Life's Game

 Hello Dears!!!!!

Life is full of challenges and ups and downs....but gives us  lots of memorable and  valuable lessons after every  challenge.

Inspired by it,I have created the Mixed Media project called" Queen in a Life's Game" with the mono chromatic theme for September with a twist... I have used the bright colours ...white,black and red  with a chess board chippie as the  main elements of the project.

The product in highlight is "Gilding flakes" which gives that rich/ royal  look to the project.
