Shabby Chic Mixed Media Piece

 Hello everyone,

Fairuz Fabiha here and welcome to the EC blog. Today I’ll be showing you how I created a shabby chic mixed media piece.

Today’s project is inspired by ‘Shabby Chic- Pinks and Grays’ theme that mainly came from the expressions craft July challenge mood board. 

I’ve decided to use pinks, lilac and grays as the color scheme and decorated the house shaped base with Expressions craft flowers and chipboards. As this months product highlights are metallic paints, gesso and chalk paints, I decided to go with the metallic paint and gesso in many different ways to create this perfect shabby chic project.

" Beautiful memories" Mixed media panel

It's Madhurima here and welcome to the EC blog. Today I have a more monochromatic rustic project in the shape of a house. I have cut the base using thick cardboard and have tried to keep the composition very minimal mainly focusing on the coloring part. Here is the close-up of my project and as usual the material list is at the end of this post.

Hola! Back with cutest project.. Pastel and shabby chic is my all time favourite theme.. The colour palette chosen for this project is shades of Pink, Lilac, boysenberry, orange silver and gold

The theme is inspired by wedding hence kept it simple yet blingy.. Used flowers and leaves, blings and glitter so on and so forth.. you can find out all the details at the end of this blog.. I have used various mixed media tricks and techniques.. one of them where I have used negative of the chipboard and used it as stencil.. you can watch the Tutorial to learn quirky tricks to create Mixed Media project
