Fairuz Fabiha here and welcome to the EC blog. Today I’ll be sharing with you an altered mixed media canvas.
Today’s project is inspired by the ocean and under the sea creatures that mainly came from the expressions craft May challenge mood board. I was inspired by the lovely blues and golden color scheme from the moodboard.
So here the base used is an old canvas and I’m using it upside down. The composition is done using expressions craft chipboards, natural seashells and corals as well as some clay embellishments and paper cutouts.
At first I have used EC heavy white gesso to prime the base. Then I’ve used the beautiful bloom stencil along with the dazzling diamond glitter paste and pearl stencil paste to add some textures. For more textures and interest I added the mini and mega deco stones around the composition as well as used dusty rose, frosted silver, right coral punch, intense blue, antique bronze and finally turquoise blue embossing powders from immix. And for coloring the whole thing I used hunter green and mermaid song metallic paints tea cup teal and old metal rust chroma burst and finally royal peacock sprinkle mist.
For highlighting the elements I’ve used jingle shells, Tuscan red, and soft glitter gold metallic paints and amber gold chroma burst.
Finally finished off the project with some dye cut leaves which I colored Using cranberry kiss chroma burst and persimmon sprinkle mist.
All of the products are listed down below along with the website link.
Hope you enjoy the close-up pictures of today’s project along with the YouTube tutorial linked down below.

Semonti here again on EC blog to sharing my next inspiration on spring theme for this month.
This time I have altered two embroidery hoops with shaker used EC products.
When spring comes, the melodious call of various birds can be heard. Who could be a better explorer than birds, right? That's why I choose a bird picture for my focal point. It's perfect for spring project I think isn't it?

It's Madhurima here and I am yet again here at the expressions craft blog with my new project inspiration. For today's project, I have altered an embroidery hoop using the wood grain pattern paper from the "Lushful Eden" paperpack as my background. Along with that, I have used chipboards and handmade flowers from expressions craft. I wanted to keep the colors as pastel as possible so have used shades of peach, lilac, teal and white. Here are some close-up images of my project. The product list is at the bottom of the post.
Today I am here yet again to inspire you all with my current project. The other day while returning home from work I gathered quite a few fallen leaves and branches. They were so gorgeous and rustic that I couldn't resist myself from using them in my project. So here I am with my project where I have altered a very old wooden plank lying around in my house. I have selected the earthy tones for this particular project to match with the natural elements. Apart from that I have used the beautiful embossing powders from expressions craft along with the metallic paints, sprays, chipboards, etc. Here is a look at the project:
Products used:
Mediums- white gesso, black gesso, crackle texture paste, white opaque texture paste
Gel mediums- Dimensional heavy gel, matte gel medium
