Hello Friends
This is Veena, today I am here on the Expressions Craft blog to share a few tips to create Mixed-Media backgrounds.
These are great to create MM projects, tags, embellishments and bookmarks. I have used Dimensional Heavy Gel, Texture Pastes, Chroma Burst, Metallic Sprays and Glitters. I have used my favorite shades of blue and purple. You can get similar results using any other shade. Video Link and material list is provided later in the blog post.
Below are the details:
I have used ATCs as the base which are primed with White and Black Gesso.
1. Technique - Mix Dimensional Heavy Gel with Chroma Burst and apply it through a stencil.
Chroma Burst is highly pigmented so you do not need a lot for the mix.
2. Technique - Mix Texture paste with Chroma Burst and apply it through a stencil.
3. Technique - Color the ATCs with Metallic Sprays and apply a thin layer of Texture Paste through a stencil.
The texture paste will pick the background color and will give a gorgeous effect.
4. Technique - Color the ATCs with Metallic Sprays and apply a thin layer of Crackle Texture Paste through a stencil.
The texture paste will pick the background color and will give a gorgeous effect.
5. Technique - Mix Dimensional Heavy Gel with Glitters and apply it through a stencil.

Hope you like the project!
