Mixed Media Sea Shell Canvas

Hi Friends, 

For today's tutorial I Have made a Sea Shell themed reverse canvas.  loaded the project with textures and texture pastes from Expressions Craft.

Supplies used

White gesso

Desert sand paste

Mud brown paste

Ice and snow paste

Crackle texture paste

Chroma burst-amber gold,old rust metal,blue lagoon

Sprinkle mist-chest nut, titanium white

Deco stones

Chalk paint-sea foam

Today is inspirational Monday and we have our DT Ruchi  & Irina to guide you beautiful inspirational on the monthly challenge Beach Adventure

Hello all!
This is Irina Chebotareva (IraChe).

Today I'm with my inspiration by beach adventure theme.

Just imagine that once upon a time somebody lost a casket in the sea. It lay on the sea bottom a long time. And here, fisher find it in his nets. The coral polyps growth on the casket and the seashells are on it.

The base of casket is cardboard, glued outside with net.

Then I sculpted polips and funny sea plants from clay. They and various seashells I glued to casket.

Then I colored all with white Gesso.

After, I colored they with Chroma Burst. I took shades of sea: Blue Lagoon, Fresh Water, Woodland Bay, Golden Glow.

And I made sea shine with Immix Metallic Paint: Sapphire Blue, Mermaid Song, Citron Verdes, Hunter Green, Snow Pearl.

I used Immix Metallic Paint Holiday Gold to color the protruding elements for detailing. It turned out lighting parts, as rays of the sun.

Hello everyone! Ruchi here from Ruchi's Crafeteria and I've created a tag 'Explore' on beach theme.

I've picked a piece of cardboard and cut in size 3.5"x7"

Applied White Gesso and Crackled Texture Paste and newly launched Glass Beads- texture gel medium. Then stenciled this shell using Mermaid stencil and newly launch Ground Texture Paste- Mud Brown. 

Used Chroma Burst- Fresh Lime Dream, Golden Glow, Woodland Bay & Terranium Olive Moss shades.

Hi,
Continuing the beach adventure. I propose to sink to the bottom of the ocean. See what an amazing fish is found in the dark. My new job is a key holder.

Myself  Varsha Gupta From C-Arts & Crafts, This is my first inspirational project. I have created a canvas (30.5*60.9 cm) for beach theme e.i “Lost in the sea”

Here is my project:

 

I coloured my canvas with chroma burst & sprinkle mist sprays. I created texture with texture paste & ground mud paste. I used deco stones for 3D texture. I painted my embellishments with metallic paint.

This month our theme is  Beach Adventure

 Use any of the products in your project.

Create any project with respect to the theme.

Pls remember to use any one of the products(Sand texture paste, Sprays, chippies,Paints,fabrics,metallic paints, flowers etc) from our store.Include that in the photo which you submit.

- Create a new project like Altered art, ATC's, Card, Scrapbook pages or any other craft projects are acceptable as long as they adhere to the months challenge.

- Use of anyone of the Expressions craft product is a must and we would love to see our product along with your project in your blog post

- Display the challenge storyboard in your post and link back to Expressions craft blog

- We will accept a maximum of 3 entries per person. Please add 2,3 next to your name for subsequent entries.
