Mixed Media Canvas

Mixed Media Canvas

Hello everyone , i Shalini Kundrai again on Expressions Craft blog. First of all i would like to thank each n everyone for appreciating my previous work . Today i m here with one more mixed media canvas with many different techniques. In this particular project i focused mainly on sculptor Tex contour medium n along with this i incorporated decoupage ,stenciling with texture paste.

With following pictures you will get to know how i made this canvas
basically i was hoarding many cloth tags which i always wanted to use so here are few items i used for this canvas

1. Here i had cut randomly few pages  from one old book

2. Adhered the cutouts with art medium matte on the canvas leaving few area on right side of canvas

3. In the following pic i decoupaged a beautiful tissue randomly using Art Gel Medium Gloss n covered the entire area with one more coat of gel medium to seal it

 4. Here i used Sculptor Tex Medium. i simply dipped cotton cloth  in fabric pack
in Sculptor Tex Medium n removed the excess  medium n placed the cloth on canvas

  5. A rough layout of tags i used in this project.

 6. Stenciling here n there with black Gesso

7. i covered one tag with stenciling using texture paste n covered with black gesso after it got dried n then dry brush holiday gold metallic paint
n another tag i decoupaged with the same process . On slim tag i stenciled blessings n on clay motif i used black gesso on base n dry brushed with few coordinating colors . i decided to leave magenta tag as it is as that was already matching with my flowers .

8. i coated the dried cloth with 2 coats of black gesso n dry brushed with the same colors randomly .

9. Finally i adhered all the tags n motif as planned n used deco stones mini on sides of  clay motif n dry brushed them with holiday gold metallic paint after covering them with black gesso.
finally i used chippies i got in my kit.

Following are the few close up pictures of the final outcome

Thank you so much for Stopping by.
I hope you enjoyed this picture tutorial.
