Relief work with gold gilding on Jewelry box

Hello friends, Shalini Kundrai here again with one more tutorial .This time i have created a very traditional looking jewelry box with relief work on top n some gold gilding effect. Believe me after this tutorial you dont need to buy expensive gold leafs for gilding .

So, follow the below pictures to learn how i made this

1.Firstly i covered some spaces with masking tape according to design i had in my mind

2. Here i applied Azure, Pale Sunset Gold n Dusty Lavender chalk paints according to my design

i removed masking tape in following picture

 3. For this steps you have 2 options . Either you can trace your design with the help of carbon paper or you can have your design through stencil . So here i used a stencil to add indian motif .
 4. Now for relief work i have made a cone. i mixed texture paste with art medium matt( to give more strength to the relief work)
As i will be using this paste on colored surface n our paste is white in color  so to add color to my paste i mixed persimmon sprinkle mist in good quantity to my paste n make a cone of this mixture

5. Here i applied the paste on my design with cone i made . its entirely upto you how raised u want your relief work.

6.So after my relief work got dried i applied masking tape again , this time around the areas which was still without color n applied 2 coats of holiday gold metallic paint n you need to believe me that this metallic gold really gives pure gold shine like gold leaf people use for gilding

Here i dried brushed metallic paint holiday gold on my relief work.

Hope u enjoyed this tutorial

Rusty Treasure Boxes

Hello everyone!!
Ruchi here from Ruchi's Crafeteria and I'm back with my another DT project.
This time I've created treasure boxes in rusty look. This post gonna be helpful for you to up-cycle your empty cardboard boxes into a beautiful piece of art :)
Have a look at them...

I've used Sculptor Tex medium for gluing all the elements like chipboards, flowers & leaves, deco stones, burlap and fabrics from immix fabric pack, chipboards negatives ( cut them in brick and leaf shapes ) and some charms, chains, buttons, dew drops, paper die cuts from my stash.

Ones dried...I've applied a coat of black gesso all over my boxes. You can add water in it for diluting it a bit. I've added water for applying my first coat of gesso and then applied another layer of it without water.

I've used immix metallic paints- Disco Rose, Purple Affair, Unicorn Pink and Bronze Moon for coloring these boxes and gave them rusty look.

Lastly sprinkled some Fairy Dust on them to give some more shine.

I've captured all the process in a video. You can watch the tutorial here

That's it for today. Hope you like my today's project.
See you all next time with more inspirations.
Happy Crafting!!

Inspiration Monday - June Challenge - BINGO

Greetings!

Today is inspirational Monday  and we have our DT's Isha Pai and Shweta Tapsi Kode, to give you beautiful inspiration on the  June challenge theme BINGO

Hey everyone!

I'm DT Shweta and today I have for you all an inspiration project on this month's challenge.
We have an interesting theme this month - BINGO.

You can choose any three elements in line or diagonally and create your project. I have chosen the middle line - Fabric-Twine-Sprays , but my project also fulfills the diagonal elements - Textures-Twine-Chipboard.

I have created a burlap canvas giving it beautiful textures using the crackle texture paste, deco stones, sprinkle glitz and colored them with sprinkle mists. Check the pictures.

This is Isha Pai and today I am sharing a beautiful home decor showpiece of Buddha with handmade candle

I have picked 4 grids out the BINGO challenge grid. 1. Textures/Glitters/Flowers. 2. Metallics/ Twine/ Flowers. 3. Textures/ Fabric/ Metallic. 4. Metallics/ Chalkpaint/ Chipboard.

You can use any one or many grid. It is totally your choice.
