I am Roshini Gupta,I have been crafting  for the past 5 years. Crafting is like meditation for me, it gives me peace and calmness. I love experimenting and exploring  and making something new everytime. Scrapbook, mix media , miniature layout , 3D structure, flower making , decoupage and soap making are few of the areas that i have worked on. I loved drawing and coloring as a child and always won the drawing compilation in school. But i never knew that i could actually become a full time crafter and make it a profession. I have completed my LLB and became a lawyer because that is what my dad wanted me to be, but currently i am working as a crafter because that is what i wanted to be and it is something that makes me happy  :). All i wanted to be when i grew up was happy so i chose to be a CRAFTER

I'm Shweta, a stay-at-home mom and a passionate crafter. I have done MCA and was a software engineer by profession. Worked for two years in the industry before I got married. When I was working, I got introduced to the world of paper crafting. I saw some paper quilling work of a colleague and instantly got attracted towards it. I self-learnt the art of paper quilling and that was the start of my journey. I kept quilling on and off over a period of a few years when I slowly started learning the other craft forms - namely punch craft, mixed media, decoupage, scrapbooking, card making and so on. I've always dreamt of crafting as a profession, but some or the other hurdles kept coming my way.
Finally last year I started realising my dream when I launched my Facebook page. I also took to blogging and Instagram soon after.
I started crafting full time.

BLINGY Fabric Butterflies

Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over, she began to fly!

That's what butterflies teach us..  To move on,  to be hopeful and to thrive hard for your dreams.

This is my inspiration,  for my last blog post at Expressions Craft as I bid adieu ending my term as a Design Team member here.

Hi,  I am Manasa Priya from Upcycled,  here with my take in using the Clear Sculptor Tex Medium.

Butterflies,  Bright colors and BLING..  That's what I thought to adopt in this project if creating an upcycled juice bottle vase to go with my spring decor.

Alaskan gold glitter and Rainbow sparks are my favorite.  I created an ombre effect on the bottle with just these two..  Isn't that cool?

Sculptor Tex medium comes in super handy if we had to create textures or contour.  A must try.  Now when the butterflies are painted,  I added deco stones and glitter and colored them again.

I finally added the twisted floral wires on the top to add antennas to the butterflies.  To check out the whole process..  Head on to our studio.

I hope you took part in our monthly blog challenge,  anything goes..  Using mediums.  Do participate.
It's a small world,  see you all on the other side..  🤗
Until next time..  ❤

Doll Sculpture

Hello beautiful crafters,

This is jaishree this side from joyful kreations and today i will be sharing my last DT project for expressions craft. I have created a doll sculpture using sculptor tex contour medium and cheese cloth available in the fabric pack.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the new sculptor tex medium from expressions craft. The end result is always breath taking with this medium. So without further a due, lets see how I made this sculpture.

Step 1 -  I created the base of the doll and painted it with red cherrywood chalk paint to give the brown skin tone.

Step 2 - I dipped my cheesecloth from the fabric pack in the sculptor tex medium and created a beautiful dress for the doll. I also made the bow on the dress with fabric dipped in sculptor tex.
after i let it dry over night, I covered the dress and dolls hair in black gesso.

Step 3 - Lastly once the gesso dried completely, I add metallic colors on the doll's dress as well as her face and arms. I used dry brushing just to highlight the peaks on the dress.

Here are some close-ups-

Hope you liked the project! Do tag us in your creations using sculptor tex medium.

Until Next Time
Happy crafting

Mixed Media Journal Cover

Hello Friends,

Priya here with a photo tutorial using the new Sculpture tex and Art gel mediums.
Today I altered my art Journal cover and I totally the outcome.

So let's start the tutorial...

I took out the cover of my journal first and gave a coat of black gesso. You can avoid the step and directly jump to the next step.

Here you can see the cotton cloth I used to cover my project. I cut this into two rectangular pieces and dipped in Sculpture tex and then glued on the cover. You don't need another adhesive as Sculpture tex as it glues down automatically. I also adhered some burlap and followed the same procedure.

You can see the beautiful texture that is created here with the fabric. I sprinkled some fairy Dust to add some sparkle here. But later I thought to color my Journal cover with Metallic Paints so you can skip this step.

Than I attached some chipboards from Expressions Craft on my journal. I used a lot of them here and there as my cover is quite a big one.

I added some metal charms and this beautiful metal butterfly also using Art gel medium and Heavy Gel Medium  and covered everything  with Black gesso.

Then I started coloring using Raw amber and Velvet Orchid.

Now some more close up pics and more...

Hope you like my project.
