Creating Background Texture with Immix Art Essentials

Hello Friends,

I'm Priya with you today and I have fun Background texture techniques to share with you using Expressions Craft Art Essentials.
Creating a background or breaking a blank page is a very important and basic step of any Mixed media project and sometimes we cannot figure out about this very simple process.
So this whole month we the Design Team will be creating of background texture inspirations with a lot of tutorials on how you can create a lot of different textures in the background using the new Art Essentials from Immix.

For my today's post I have taken 4 different bases and I'll be creating some simple yet interesting backgrounds for my future projects. I started with a 10*12 canvas and then to paper, MDF and Cardboard base and used a lot of different things to create the textures on them.

The First one is this canvas and I created my texture on this using old book pages, immix Heavy white Gesso and Immix Crackle Texture Paste.

These bases are from the packaging of handmade flowers from Expressions Craft and I layered them with cloth tags, Heavy White Gesso, Crackle Texture paste, Plastic net, Burlap and coconut coir

This one is a MDF base and the texture was created using Cheese cloth, Thread, Heavy White Gesso, Texture Paste, DecoStones and sprinkle mists

This one is a cardboard box and the background texture was created using some corrugated sheet, Sand and Negative of Chipboard embellishment and Heavy Black Gesso
I have a video tutorial for the same
