Hello Crafty Friends,
Priya here with a photo tutorial for this month's challenge "Glitter". I have used all four glitter powders from Immix and created this mixed media Panel.
So let's get started.
First I took this cake base as my base for this project and I mixed Sprinkle Glitz with Texture Paste and applied randomly on the panel. As you can see in the below pictures.
Once the paste is dry, I gave it a coat of Black Heavy Gesso all over and while the gesso is still wet, I sprinkled the Green and Blue Fairy dust and also Magic Sparks on the panel randomly. You can see the instant shine of these glitters as soon as you sprinkle them and they look awesome under any light especially at night. After it completely dried I added some splatters of white sprinkle mist.
Then I took another piece of cardboard and cut out a heart shape. Also I took a piece of cheese cloth and colored it with deep teal sprinkle mist. I arranged the cardboard piece in the middle of the panel and glued the cheese cloth on it.
Then I glued some metal embellishments and bottle caps and some decorative chipboards from Expressions craft on it as my center piece. I applied white heavy gesso on it and sprinkled some Decostones in and around the central piece as you can see in the pictures below.
Then I randomly sprayed some deep teal, chimney smoke and royal blue sprinkle mists on it and left for drying. Then I dry brushed some metallic waxes vintage gold, Old Silver and Amethyst Magic.
After all the coloring, the final piece looks like this...
