Layout with Decoupage Paper and Chalk Paint

Hello Crafty Friends,

I'm Priya with you today with my mixed media Layout using the beautiful chalk paints and Decoupage papers from Expressions Craft.

I started with a plain white cardstock from Expressions craft and adhered some decoupage sheet, which I fussy cut to get some desired designs, on it to get a colorful background for my LO.

For some interesting texture, I used stamps and texture paste and applied through expressions craft stencil. Then I applied some chalk paints as well as some sprinkle mist to color my background.

Then I attached the photo and decorated the LO with some flowers, deco stones and sentiments.

I made a video tutorial for the same, but it was getting dark and I had to stop midway. But I hope you like the project.

Mixed media frame Using chalk paints

Hi friends,

I am Sabiha Khan back with a new project using smooth n silky chalk paints by expressions craft.

I have made a mixed media frame....

Lets have a look at few pics of my project.

Guys hope u like my frame.

First I took a photo frame and removed the glass. 

Coloured the frame black using black gesso. Adhered all the chipboard embellishments Birds and Branches from expressions craft, few flowers and lace on the frame. I left the sentiment embellishments "Wonderful life" to adhere it in the end. 

Coloured them all with black gesso. Then took two colours of chalk paints from Expressions craft Fancy Yellow and  Raspberry Red.

Applied the colours using dry brush technique. Applied the paints randomly over the embellishments.

When I was satisfied with the colours I applied some golden acrylic dust over the embellishments randomly using fingers. Finally Adhered the sentiment chipboard on the frame to give it a finished look.

I was happy with results I got with chalk paints over black gesso. Hope u love my project and would also try something like this.

Decoupage - Believe

Hello, Friends

Dheepika here. I'm back with a new project Decoupage.

A step at a time:

• Take a decoupage paper and fussy cut and save it for late.
• Take the heart shape cardstock and apply a coat of gesso.
• After that after the chalk paint and air dry them.
• Now paste the decoupage paper on the sides of the heart as shown in the picture.
• Place the stencil and apply metallic color on it.
• Add the butterfly and flowers on both the sides.
• Add the sentiment on the top "believe".
• Now the project is ready.

Mixed media canvas with chalk paint

Hello Crafty friends,

I am Shylaa here today to share an inspiration on mixed media canvas using Chalk paints

This month our challenge theme is to use Chalk paints in your projects.

Basic Process:

1. Coat a layer of gesso on the canvas and allow it to dry. 
2. Add textures with stencil. i have used sunflower stencil
3.Sponge IMMIX chalk paint over the stenciled area in a pattern to get flower.
4.Adhere the photograph and add IMMIX deco stones, glitters ball, micro beads etc
5. Sprinkle some drops of Sprinkle mist. 
6. Add our Chipboard embellishment
7. I used the sentiment from couples in love stampset.
