A Layout 'SweetHeart'

Hello everyone!!
Ruchi here from Ruchi's Crafeteria and I'm back with my another DT project
This time I've created a Layout 'SweetHeart' in teal shades.
Have a look..

For this Layout I chose teal shade which is every crafter's favorite color :)
Expressions Craft have Flowers, Chalk Paint, Metallic Paint and Sprinkle Mist in this color and trust me...they look fantastic on any crafting surface like paper, fabric, chipboard, glass, metal and so on.

For my layout base, I chose a pattern paper and then applied Texture Paste along with Diamond stencil to create texture background. When it dried sprinkled Deep Teal Blue Sprinkle Mist.
Applied Mermaid Song and Unicorn Pink metallic paints on chipboards and then embossed them with clear pearl embossing powder.

Expressions Craft chipboards are one quality product and you can apply any coloring medium on that. They are perfect for embossing too.
I first applied metallic paint on the chipboard Sweetheart but later applied a coat of Black Heavy Gesso on that.

I mixed black gesso with water and splattered it on my layout. Added some sequins and pearls for completing the look.

This focal image is from Prima stamp and colored it using Zig markers. Applied my favorite immix Deco Stones- Medium and Micro using immix Art Gel Medium Gloss and sprinkled Alaska Gold and Rainbow Sparks on that. Embellished it using Shabby Crinkle handmade flowers.

I've captured all the process in a video. You can watch the tutorial here

That's it for today. Hope you like my today's project.
See you all next time with more inspirations.

Frames and Flowers

Hello friends
Today is Sunday and its a relaxing day for all. So myself  Bhavani Balaji here to give you some inspirations on current month challenge theme "FRAMES & FLOWERS". I decided to gift some cards to my loved ones so created these cards with expressions craft chipboard embellishments. sprinkle mists and handmade flowers.

Procedure to make:

  1. Cut white card stocks from expressions craft. I cut the CS into 12" breadth and 6" height to form a card base
  2. Then i cut orange, purple and flamingo pink CS a bit lesser than the card base.
  3. Take a white CS again and cut 5.75" square pc
  4. I used a thin star tissue paper from my stash and stuck it on the white square CS using immix Art medium
  5. Started misting with water and immix sprinkle mists blaze orange, Dark Purple and Deep Teal Blue
  6.  To complete my composition i used few frame Chip board embellishments, Hand made flowers, Deco stones and Fairy dust
  7. Finally dilute some black gesso or acrylic paints with water and give some sprinkles over the entire card using the paint brush. Now u are done!

    1. Hope you like and get inspired to create and participate in our challenges

      Canvas "Galaxy Time"

      Hello all!

This is Irina Chebotareva (IraChe). Today  I want to show on Expressions Craft blog a video tutorial on a mixed media canvas.

I took cardboard for canvas base. Cardboard elements was glued on base and all of them was painted with Immix heavy gesso white. After, I add some decor: plastic circles, glass stones, iron chain and four sizes Deco stones.
Then, I used Immix crackle texture paste on the biggest circle and some other places. Texture paste also was added on base - they also help me to glue Deco stones.

I set up chipboard right on wet cracle paste and start paint with Immix-Sprinkle Mist-Dark Purple and Immix-Sprinkle Mist-Titanium White. With  Immix heavy gesso white and Immix Metallic Paint was added texture.
At the top I add Handmade Flower with white cardstock cuttin.
Some stamps as final detail - and the work was complete.
      Impressive, how did you think?

      Enjoy the watching!

Antique Embroidery Hoop Frame - Photo tutorial

      Antique Embroidery Hoop Frame

      Greetings!

Hi Everyone... This is Isha Pai, today I am here on Expressions Craft Blog with a very "easy to make" photo tutorial of this beautiful antique embroidery hoop frame.

The best part of this frame is you can keep changing the photos on it, as the photo is attached to a mini wooden clip.

      Let's Begin with Photo tutorial:

Step 1: Firstly, I have attached a canvas sheet with a wooden embroidery hoop. Then after attaching, I have applied Immix black heavy gesso all over and also to the chippies (cogs wheel frame, heart dream catcher with star and branches with birds) separately.

*I have used only the star part of the "heart dream catcher with star" chippie.

Step 2: After drying the gesso with heat tool, I have then textured the background by using wave stencil along with the mixture of sprinkle glitz and white gesso.  Later after drying off the background texture, I have pasted hand torn corrugated sheet randomly and all the chippies (Arabesque background frame) with glue gun.

Step 3: Then again I had applied black gesso all over. Also pasted some metal embellistments along with a wooden clip for holding photos.

Here comes my favorite part "using of Immix metallic paints".
(i). First I started with Gunmetal Grey
(ii). then a very little Bronze Moon to give rusty effect
(iii). lastly, my all time favorite Ancient Gold

All the above metallic paints were used, using dry brush technique.

Step 4: Then with the help of a toothbrush I have sprayed  Ancient Gold metallic paint on the sides to give dot effects.

      Materials used are:

      1. Wooden embroidery hoop

      2. Canvas sheet

      3. Black heavy Gesso

      4. Stencil: Wave

      5. Frames: Arbesque Background Frame, Cogs wheel frame,
Heart dream catcher with star, Branches with birds

      6. Corrugated sheet

      7. Metallic Paints: Ancient Gold
      Gunmetal Grey
      Bronze Moon

      8. Sprinkle Glitz mixed with white gesso

I hope you all have loved this photo tutorial...
And I am hoping to see your creation of such kind of hoop frame either in my way or your own way using the amazing products from https://www.expressionscraft.in

Love & Peace from Me to You all...

      Happy Crafting & Keep Crafting...

Mixed Media Decor - Video tutorial

      Hey people!

Shweta here today on Expressions Craft blog with a video tutorial on a mixed media decor I made to give as a birthday gift.

I have used an MDF base here as my canvas and created a beautiful decor out of it. I started off by painting it with Wedding Red metallic paint. Then I've spread the very amazing crackle texture paste on the base that gives really beautiful and natural looking cracks. I've then used sprinkle mists Persimmon and Citrus Yellow to colour the textures. Kept the tone of my project very subtle.

The various shaped chipboards and the handmade flowers from Immix are so versatile and gorgeous that they enhance the beauty of any project. They added a nice depth to my project.

To find out how I made this, check out the video tutorial below.

Do comment if you liked my work.
      Thanks.

ATC Tags With immix Sprinkle Mists

      Hello everyone!!
Ruchi here from Ruchi's Crafeteria and today I'm sharing my first DT post with all of you.
I've created some Mixed Media ATC Tags using Sprinkle Mists as a primary coloring option.
      Have a look..

For these tags.. I've chose cardboard pieces and applied a coat of White Heavy Gesso and then created the background using Texture Paste and Alphabet Stencil.
Applied some Crackle Texture Paste to give some crackled look to my tags.
These all pastes dry fast and give a nice bright look.

I have focused on immix Sprinkle Mists product the most in my project. Used only Mists for coloring. So if you have only Mists in hand, still you can create beautiful crafty projects with basic mixed media supplies. :)

You can use these Sprinkle Mists to any surface like cardboard, chipboard, glass, paper, fabric etc.
I've used on cardboard and Expressions Craft chipboards. These chipboards are from Numbers and Alphabets set.

Used immix Deco Stones- Mega and Micro along with Sprinkle Glitz, Rainbow Sparks and Fairy Dust products. Used immix Gel Medium- Matte for adhering these stones.

I've captured all the process in a video. You can watch the tutorial here
